Service agreement, in plain language
We wrote this summary so you'd actually read it. The signed agreement for each engagement contains the same terms in full; where they differ, the signed agreement controls.
What we provide
Essay coaching, admissions mentorship, and drop-in advising as described on their pages. Coaching and guidance only - we complete no application component on a student's behalf, and we use no AI to generate any part of an application, per our academic integrity policy.
No outcome is guaranteed
We do not promise, imply, or accept payment contingent on admission to any institution. Fees pay for our time and expertise, not results. Anyone in this industry promising otherwise is misleading you.
Payment
Essay coaching: 50% to book, 50% when we hand back the final round. Mentorship: a monthly subscription, or prepaid for four months at a lower rate - pause or cancel a monthly subscription whenever you need to. Drop-in sessions and packs: paid when booked. Payments run through Square; we never see card numbers.
The free call
The 20-minute call before any engagement costs nothing and creates no obligation.
Refunds and the evaluation period
Mentorship's first two weeks are a paid evaluation period: you're charged normally, but if the pairing isn't working, email us before the two weeks are up and we'll refund up to two sessions in full. A first paid session is refundable if you tell us within 48 hours. For essay work we keep revising within the scope you bought until it's right, but we don't refund after final delivery, since at that point the work is yours.
Students under 18
A parent or legal guardian must sign this agreement and is our billing contact. Parents are welcome in any session at the family's discretion.
Your work stays yours
Essays, ideas, and materials you share remain your property. We keep them only to provide the service and delete them on request. We never reuse client essays as samples without written permission - the annotated essays in our library come from our own team's applications.
Turnaround and rush
Standard essay turnaround is 72 hours from receiving a document; rush (48-hour) work carries the surcharge quoted by the calculator. If we miss a committed deadline, the affected document's fee is refunded.
Cancellation
Sessions can be moved or cancelled up to 12 hours ahead at no cost. Inside 12 hours, the session is charged. Either side can end an engagement with written notice; unused prepaid work is refunded pro rata.
