Privacy policy
The short version: we keep what you give us, we use it to help you apply to college, and we never sell it. The details are below.
What we collect
What you give us: names, email addresses, grade year, school lists, essay drafts, and notes from sessions. The website itself keeps a session cookie for logged-in clients and standard server logs. No advertising trackers, no analytics that identify you, no data bought from anyone.
Students under 18
Most of our clients are minors, so this is the section that matters. We collect a parent or guardian email for every student under 18, the guardian signs the service agreement, and the guardian can see, correct, or delete the student's data at any time by emailing us. We never sell or share a minor's information, we don't use minors' essays for marketing, and we delete a student's essays and session notes on request or 18 months after the engagement ends, whichever comes first.
Essays and session notes
Drafts you share are visible only to the team members working with you. Annotated sample essays in the member library come from our own team's applications, never from clients. Library documents are watermarked with the recipient's email.
Email lists
Signing up for the annotated essays adds you to our list. Every email has a working unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing actually removes you - we don't do 'preference centers' that keep you anyway.
Who else touches data
Payment runs through Square (we never see card numbers), scheduling through Calendly, and email through our sending provider. Each sees only what it needs to do its job. We don't sell data to anyone, full stop.
Your rights
Email hello@nestadmissions.com to see what we have about you, correct it, or delete it. We answer within a week, usually faster.
